Palstar DL5K 5000 Watt Dummy Loads represent the next generation of high-power dummy loads!

Like its predecessor, the DL2K, the DL5K was born out of the need for a dummy load that allows for more time to tune your amp at high power. Most dummy loads don't have the real-world power load capability needed by Ham operators who run high-power amplifiers. The "Next-Generation" Palstar DL5K Dummy Loads can handle a full 5,000 watts for up to a half a minute and 1,000 watts continuously. Palstar DL5K dummy load loads have thermostatically-controlled dual fan cooling, so the fans only run when needed. They utilize solid ceramic resistive elements that are non-inductive and very resistant to overload, so they may be used at high temperatures.

DL5K dummy loads have a built-in backlit meter with two power ranges, 0-500 watts and 0-5,000 watts.
