Some thoughts


This web page is one of possible solutions for BiH problem in distribution of video, audio signals for TV stations and audio signal for Radio stations and all available help and support from all interesting organization and cooperation is helpful.

Implementing terrestrial digital TV in BiH, opening problems how to finance, research, select and install full duplex digital MW links to be used for distribution of signals to make and prepare conditions for T-DVB transmitting.

For that reason SARTELCOM move forward and have a plan to build own MW network structure for transfer of huge amount of video/audio data between each TV studio and Main Center (TELEPORT STATION) and from Main Center to the each TX T-DVB site.

I am sure BACKBONE MW link network can do the requested tasks.


How to do that?

There is 4 option available for this kind of content distribution.

  • Satellite distribution via major TELEPORT system...to each TVRO system at TX site on top of BiH mountains... available as fast option, but very expensive in long run term, very high running and maintenance cost..

  • MW links using top BiH mountains... from each TV studio to Main TELEPORT SARAJEVO, to each TX site via MW BACKBONE  NETWORK, average running and maintenance cost...

  • Fiber optic links from Main TELEPORT SARAJEVO, to each TX site, expensive at the moment, but in long run term very low maintenance cost.

  • Fiber optic links from each TV studio to Main TELEPORT SARAJEVO, then via fiber optic links to each TX site..very expensive at the moment, but in long run term, very low maintenance cost.

Needs for content distribution for approximately 50 TV stations and approximately 100 radio stations.

MW FULL DUPLEX LINK CONNECTION WILL BE ON FOLLOWING LOCATIONS

1phase:   SARAJEVO - BJELASNICA - VELEZ - LEOTAR.

1 phase: BJELASNICA  - VELEZ ( - BIOKOVO - CROATIA). Link with large part of Mid Bosnia and huge part of Herzegovina in T-DVB distribution.

Link with studio:  all locations in Sarajevo and surrounding cities with line of sight to MW NODE BJELASNICA.

Link with studio:  all studio in Mostar and Herzegovina  with line of sight to MW NODE VELEZ.


2 phase MW link: BJELASNICA - VLASIC - KOZARA. Link with large part of Mid Bosnia, part of West and North Bosnia  in T-DVB distribution.

Link with studio:  all locations in Sarajevo and and surrounding cities with line of sight to MW NODE BJELASNICA.

Link with studio:  all studio in Zenica, Travnik, Vitez, Visoko, Kiseljak and surrounding cities with line of sight to MW NODE BJELASNICA or VLASIC.

     All other phases are alternative, we can build any of them what depend from previous one.
