History
According to Quran and Islamic tradition the Kaaba was built by Ibrahim (Abraham). It is stated in the Qur'an that this was the first house that was built for humanity to worship Allah (God).
Pre-Islamic era
Writing in the Encyclopedia of Islam, Wensinck identifies Mecca with a place called Macoraba mentioned by Ptolemy and found in a 3rd-century BC map which suggests that Macoraba was Mecca.
In her book, Islam: A Short History, Karen Armstrong asserts that the Kaaba was at some point dedicated to Hubal, a Nabatean deity, and contained 360 idols that probably represented the days of the year. But by Muhammad's day, the Kaaba was venerated as the shrine of Allah, the High God. Once a year, tribes from all around the Arabian peninsula, whether Christian or pagan, would converge on Mecca to perform the Hajj, marking the widespread conviction that Allah was the same deity worshiped by monotheists.

Most of these buildings dont exist today, there whas a "total destruction" of Ottoman architecture and some holy graves such as the grave (it had a golden dome) of Hatija the first wive of prophet Muhammed pbuh by the wahabi's after the retreat of the Ottoman forces from Mecca and Medina...
WHY, SAUDI KINGS CHANGE ORIGINAL TRUTH ABOUT THIS PLACE...
It has been reconstructed several times
The Kaaba that we see today is not exactly the same Kaaba that was constructed by Prophets Ibrahim and Ismail. From time to time, it has needed rebuilding after natural and man-made disasters. We all know of the major reconstruction that took place during the life of the Prophet before he became a Prophet . This is the occasion when the Prophet averted major bloodshed by his quick thinking on how to place the Black Stone using a cloth that every tribe could lift up.
Since then, there has been an average of one major reconstruction every few centuries. The last renovation took place in 1996 and was extremely thorough, leading to the replacement of many of the stones and re-strengthening the foundations and a new roof. This is likely to be the last reconstruction for many centuries (inshā'Allāh) as modern techniques mean that the building is more secure and stable than ever before.
The original Kaaba used to have a door for entrance and another for exit. For a considerable period of time it also had a window situated to one side. The current Kaaba only has one door and no window.

Abdulla
Al Muttalib someday occurred vision and found him where to dig a well.
It is aimed
to follow animal tracks and arrived at the place where the tribe Koreiša sacrificed and where there were many traces of animal dung and blood, and birds are the most pecked. There he started to dig and found a well.

Saudi regime demolishes Masjid al-Haram holy sites in Mecca

The Binladin Group is an active member of the US-Saudi Arabian Business Council and plays a central role in deciding bilateral policy for the benefit of collective US-Saudi corporate-financier and corresponding geopolitical interests.
New photos taken by Saudi activists show that the Riyadh regime has demolished many holy sites at the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca under the cloak of a development plan implemented by Osama bin Laden’s family business.
Photographs obtained by the Independent show workers with
drills and mechanical diggers tearing down some Ottoman and Abbasid sections on the
eastern side of the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca - the Grand Mosque.
The Masjid al-Haram is the holiest Islamic site and houses Ka’aba, the point to which
all Muslims face when praying.
The segments under demolition are the last remaining parts of the mosque, dating back to
more than a few hundred years.
One column which has reportedly been razed marks the spot where Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)
started his heavenly journey Meraj (Night Ascension) to al-Quds (Jerusalem) and to heaven
in a single night.
Many of the Ottoman and Abbasid columns at the Masjid al-Haram contain Arabic calligraphy
marking the names of the Prophet’s companions and remarkable moments in his life.
Saudi authorities claim that the demolitions are part of a multi-billion-dollar
development plan aimed at increasing the capacity of Masjid al-Haram.
The Saudi mega-corporation Binladin Group (Osama bin Laden’s family business) has won
the tender for the expansion project.
The Binladin Group is an active member of the US-Saudi Arabian Business Council and plays
a central role in deciding bilateral policy for the benefit of collective US-Saudi
corporate-financier and corresponding geopolitical interests.
Saudi King Abdullah has also appointed the top Wahhabi cleric and imam of the Grand
Mosque, Abdul Rahman al-Sudais, to be in charge of the development plan.
Critics have described the development project as part of a Western and Israeli agenda and
lashed out at the Saudi regime for deliberately disregarding the archaeological,
historical and cultural heritage of Islam.
Observers attribute Riyadh’s disdain for historic sites of Islam to the kingdom’s
association with Wahhabism, which is an extreme and inflexible interpretation of Islam.
The Saudi Embassy in London has declined to provide any explanation about the issue and
merely replied, “Thank you for calling, but no comment.”
Dr. Irfan al-Alawi, the executive director of the Islamic Heritage Research Foundation
which obtained the new photographs from inside the Grand Mosque, says the development of
the Masjid al-Haram could be carried out without the demolition of its historical holy
sites.
“It matters because many of these columns signified certain areas of the mosque where
the Prophet sat and prayed,” Alawi said.
“The historical record is being deleted. A new Muslim would never have a clue
because there’s nothing marking these locations now. There are ways you could expand
Mecca and Medina while protecting the historical heritage of the mosque itself and the
surrounding sites,” Alawi stated.
Under the pretext of a similar development project, the Saudi regime
plans to bulldoze three of the world’s oldest mosques around Masjid al-Nabawi in the
holy city of Medina.
Saudi officials have not declared any plans with respect to preserving the historical
mosques that are covered by the Ottoman-era structures.
The Washington-based (Persian) Gulf Institute says Riyadh has bulldozed 95 percent
of 1,000-year-old buildings in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina in the past 20 years
with the aim of expanding shopping centers, skyscrapers and luxury hotels.
During the construction of the Jabal Omar complex in Mecca, which overshadowed
Masjid al-Haram, Saudi officials destroyed many archeological sites, particularly Prophet
Mohammad’s birth place and the house of Prophet’s wife, Khadijah (PBUH), turning the
holy locations into library and public toilet respectively.
Two of the seven key historic mosques built to mark the Battle of the Trench and a
mosque belonging to the Prophet’s grandson were also dynamited ten years ago.
Surprisingly, pictures of demolition
of the ancient mosque, which were taken secretly and then smuggled out of the kingdom,
reveal the Saudi religious police hailing and celebrating the collapse of the Islamic
monuments.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE INSIDE KAABA
OLD KAABA DOOR COVER - SECRET IN MUSEUM
For years many have wondered what it looks like inside the Kaaba. Relying on second or third hand accounts from those who were lucky enough to enter just wasn't satisfying enough. Then one lucky person who went inside took his camera phone in with him and Millions have seen the shaky footage online.
The interior of the Kaaba is now lined with marble and a green cloth covering the upper walls. Fixed into the walls are plaques each commemorating the refurbishment or rebuilding of the House of Allāh by the ruler of the day. Watch the video below of the only place on Earth that you can pray in any direction you want, the House of Allāh, the first place of worship for mankind – the Kaaba.
What is inside the Kabah and what does it look like?
This is something that Ive been working on, by piecing bits of information together from various sources. In this video we take a look at the final results. I believe that Ive managed to create something thats quite accurate and certainly something that you wont find anywhere else. Check out the video in which we literally fly into the Kabah, fly around the inside and out through the door again.
