Words of wisdom from Mr. Gates, the former CEO of Microsoft Corp:

For college graduates, here is a list of 11 things you likely Did not learn in high school or university. In his book, Bill Gates talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a full generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept sets hem up for failure in the real
world.

RULE 1.........Life is not fair. Get used to it.

RULE 2.........The world won't care about your self-esteem.
The world will expect you to ACCOMPLISH something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

RULE 3.........You will NOT likely make 45 thousand dollars a year right out of school. You won't be a vice president with stock options and a car phone, either. You will have to work for both, if they are what you want. You will have to work for whatever else you want, as well.

RULE 4.........If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss. He doesn't have tenure.

RULE 5.........Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping; they called it opportunity.

RULE 6.........If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

RULE 7.........Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying the rent, paying your bills, cleaning the house and your clothes, and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parents' generation, try cleaning the closet in your own room.

RULE 8..........Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some schools they have abolished failing grades; they'll give you as many times, or as much time, as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

RULE 9..........Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off, and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. You do that on your own time.

RULE 10.........Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop or the living room and go to work.

RULE 11.........Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

OVER 60 POINTS
Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is Extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you

51 TO 60 POINTS
Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate

41 TO 50 POINTS
Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of [attention] but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out

31 TO 40 POINTS
Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest... Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you
realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS
Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It'd really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature

UNDER 21 POINTS
People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything. They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only
those who know you well know that you aren't.

Some may want to forward this on to friends...write your score in the 'subject' box.
