IONIAN MIGRATIONS
Shortly after the Dorian Invasions of Greece, ±1,154 BC, catastrophic events in the region corresponding with the sole of the Italian Boot—severe earthquakes accompanies by sudden sinking of the land mass below sea level [1]—added to the already politically instability of the region and sent the Ionian Migrations abrooad, to Hellas, and even as far east as Asia Minor.
